About Us

Who We Are

Welcome to the Veterans Cricket Association of Ireland!

We are dedicated to fostering International and  Representative cricket for cricketers aged 40 and over. Our mission is to build a competitive playing base of over 40 and over 50 Irish cricketers who can play representative and International cricket.

And the Irish culture of craic, competiveness and celebration is at the core of how we play the game.

If you want to be considered for playing – you fill out a Membership Application form – here.

If you’d like to contact us to arrange a fixture against an Irish veterans side – email us at admin at veteranscricketassociationofireland.com.

Keeping the game alive, with high standards and lots of healthy competition.

Our Heritage and Journey

Founded in 2023, we’ve already played a number of Internationals at Over 40’s level, and we’re only really kicking off now at Over 50’s level. One of our goals is to foster a vibrant community where players not only compete but also support one another. From our early matches to now, each story adds to our legacy, celebrating the love for the game.

Our Values

Competitive but Enjoyable

We play to win and to a high standard — but never at the expense of enjoyment. Veterans cricket should be hard-fought on the field and good-humoured off it.

One Island, One Game

We serve cricketers in all 32 counties and all four provinces, North and South, and we run our competitions and selection on that all-island basis.

Earned, Not Given

Caps, captaincies and selection are earned on merit. We hold ourselves to the standards of Cricket Ireland and to the integrity of the game.

Volunteer-Led, Member-First

VCAI exists for its players. We are run by volunteers, governed by our members, and accountable to the cricket community we serve.
